This hotel, renovated in 2008, has 5 floors and with a total of 544 rooms, 358 of them are doubles, 113 doubles with a living room and 73 with The Level Service (60 are double room, 12 are Junior Suites and 1 Presidential suite) The Hotel offers 24 hours reception service , panoramic elevator, gift shop and some bars and restaurants. General information and How to arrive
This attractive beach hotel can be found just 100m from the centre of San Juans. Santa Barbara castle is 500m from the hotel and the nearest golf course and the airport are both 8km away. The hotel is located in Alicante, close to the promenade Paseo de la Explanada, between Postiguet Beach (around 50m away) and the harbour. There are bars, restaurants, shopping options and leisure facilities all to be found in the surrounding area. The railway station is about 1 km away and Alicante Airport is approximately 10km from the hotel.
The hotel is easy to get to on either the national route from the A-7 motorway towards Alicante (exit at Puerto-Playas) or from Madrid on the A-2, also exit Alicante, Puerto-Playas.

Excelente ubicación. Olor desagradable en ocasiones tanto en la habitación como en el hotel en general. Insuficientes y muy lentos ascensores para lo grande del hotel lo que hacía que en muchas ocasiones tuvieras que usar las escaleras. Segín las horas colas para entrar a desayunar. Lentitud en la recepción tanto en la entrada como en la salida del hotel.

La verdad es que me esperaba algo más de un Hotel de cuatro estrellas superior. Todo son salones para reuniones o convenciones solo tiene un Restaurante y un Bar que no tiene ninguna vista. Las habitaciones bastante normarles para un hotel de cuatro estrellas superior. El personal muy amable.

Es un inconveniente el que no tengan parking y que los de la zona sean tan caros. Por lo demás, muy bien. Es remarcable la rapidez del room service y si se retrasan por algo, siempre te suben algún detalle. Por otro lado, los que vamos buscando promociones y no reservamos directamente con ellos solemos tener las habitaciones que dan al puerto se reservan las que dan al mar para otro tipo de clientes.

Buena estancia, como en general en todos los Melià. Inconveniente: entre 09:30 y 10:30 el salón para el desayuno se llenaba, y si bien el hotel lo indicaba en los ascensores, en un hotel destinado a vacaciones (no de negocios), puede haber alternativas para evitar esas colas. Promedio de espera para entrar en esa franja: 15 minutos, y luego la espera para recibir el café una vez sentados: 10 minutos. Resto buffet libre. Evidentemente te lo evitabas madrugando, pero como digo, en vacaciones... Quien quiera ir sobre seguro en relación a la calidad del servicio, Melia es un buen valor. Más datos: buenas las pizzas (room service) y rápido el servicio. Los precios del bar y comedor del hotel eran un 20% más caros que el promedio de restaurantes de la zona, de la misma calidad.

erfreulicher Aufenthalt mit hervorragendem Frühstücksbuffet. Zimmer und Bad sehr sauber aber mit einigen technischen Problemen: Gelegentlich undefinierbarer Geruch aus dem Bad; die Warmluftzufuhr durch den Klimatisierungsschacht konnte nicht unterbunden werden, so dass das Zimmer nachts zu warm war - trotz ständig geöffneter Balkontür.
