Built in 1964 and renovated in 2002, the hotel offers a total of 2 floors in the main building and 7 floors in the annexe block and a total of 485 rooms of which 397 are doubles and there are 33 suites as well as 15 apartments/villas. Guests arrive in a welcoming lobby with a 24-hour reception, a safe, a currency exchange desk and a lift. The amenities also include a café, a newspaper stand, a shop, a hairdresser and a piano bar. This luxurious hotel lies at the heart of the Costa del Sol, between Marbella and Estepona (both around 13 km away) and directly next to a sandy beach. Málaga airport is 60 km away, Puerto Banús is only 6 km and San Pedro around 3 km from the hotel. Two of the hotel's own golf courses are found 2 km away.
