Herdade De Vale Covo is located in Mertola, Alentejo. Herdade de Vale Côvo is situated within the Natural Park of Guadiana Valley along the river between Mértola and Serpa in Alentejo, South of Portugal. The house was an old hunting place, now restored, surrounded by 184 hectares of Mediterranean forest and aromatic plants. It is possible to visit the plantation of aromatic plants of lavender, rosemary, geranium and our distillery where we produce essential oils 100 % natural from organic agriculture. Meals are made with natural and organic products. We also serve vegetarian dishes. There are 5 twin-rooms with private bath-room and central heating. During winter meals are served near the fireplace in the living-room. A covered patio and a 60 m2 swimming-pool with a panoramic view of Guadiana Valley assure pleasant coolness in the summer.
