Complejo Los Escullos is located in San José, Almería. This campsite is nestled in the bay of Los Escullos, in the heart of the Cabo de Gata-Nijar Natural Park, a biosphere nature reserve. The sandy Playa del Arco beach is only 700 m away and there are many other beaches in the surrounding area for guests to explore. Listed as a top category campsite, (the only top category campsite in the province), it offers more than 200 individual camping plots and 53 bungalows. Renovated in 2007, facilities on offer to guests at this air-conditioned establishment include a 24-hour reception, a café, a newspaper stand, a mini supermarket and a bar. Guests may also take advantage of a TV lounge, a restaurant and Internet access. Bicycles are available to hire and there is parking for those arriving by car. Younger guests may like to let off steam in the playground and there is a kids' club on the premises. The accommodation units are suitable for 4/5 persons and offer 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with a shower, individually adjustable air conditioning with heating facility, a TV, terrace and individual parking. Kitchen with basic utensils and linens. There is also an adapted bungalows for handicapped or disabled. There is a diving club and guests have the opportunity to practise and number of different sports including hiking, tennis, cycling, canoeing, surfing, snorkelling and 4x4 tours. It is also possible to play basketball, handball, volleyball and beach volleyball. The campsite features a heated open-air pool with a poolside snack bar, sun loungers and parasols. Guests may also relax in the spa pool or in the sauna. Sports enthusiasts may enjoy a work out in the gym or a session of aerobics. The hotel organises a special programme of activities for adults and for children. Guests are offeres home breakfast. The restaurant serves meals a la carte and daily menu. From exit 479 of the Mediterranean highway you can see road signs that guide you to the resort.
