De Vere Barony Castle is located in Scottish Borders, Peebles. The castle is located on the edge of the Scottish Borders, and just 35 minutes south of Edinburgh, with its numerous shops, bus and train stations and, of course, Edinburgh Castle. Melrose Abbey is approximately 32 km from the conference hotel, Kalize Gardens are 9.6 km away and Royal Yacht Britannia is around 40 km away. Behind the impressive stone facade of Barony Castle, which dates back to 1564, lies a modern hotel offering all modern comforts. Guests may refresh their bodies and minds with some pure Scottish air and a walk in the gardens, before enjoying a drink in the bar and sampling a local dish in the restaurant. The castle offers 78 guest rooms in total and further facilities include a lobby with 24-hour reception, lift access, a children's playground, wireless Internet access and room service. A laundry service is provided for a fee and those guests arriving by car may leave their vehicle in the on-site car park.
