This hotel offers majestic views of the Arenal Volcano, 1633 metres above sea level, and spitting out a stream of rocks, fire, and lava. It is here that the natural beauty of the rain forest, with its great variety of exotic animals, birds of extreme splendour, and the tremendous power of one of the most active volcanoes on Earth meet. The hotel is about 2.5 hours from the capital San José by car. Renovated in the year 2000, this air-conditioned hotel comprises a total of 80 rooms, of which three are suites. Facilities include a cosy bar and a welcoming restaurant, a public Internet terminal, and room/ laundry services. Parking spaces and a garage are available to those arriving by car. The pleasantly fitted rooms come with a bathroom and hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, an Internet connection, and a hire safe. All rooms have a minibar/ fridge, centrally regulated air conditioning, and a balcony as standard. A swimming pool and a sun terrace can be found in the hotel grounds. Guests can also relax in the on-site sauna, and sports enthusiasts can try a workout in the well-equipped gym.
